We are seeking a Software Engineer

 

Senior developer responsible for major subsystems of embedded printer firmware.

 

Develops, tests, and documents software programs including operating systems, applications, and network products. Combines Software Operations Systems Engineering and Software Applications.

 

Purpose

Design and implement memory and job control subsystems of All-In-One and Multifunction Printers.

 

Job Duties

-Research feature requirements for their feasibility as firmware solutions

-Document and review design, interfaces and implementation and assess their impact on other subsystems.

-Review designs of other subsystems for their overall system impact

-Contribute to implementation of reviewed solutions

-Develop test and verification procedures to confirm behavior of implemented solutions

-Contribute to hardware simulation framework for assessing firmware solutions in a workstation environment

-Negotiate schedules with project managers to coordinate deliverables

-Deliver committed features on schedule

 

Qualifications:

BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields.

Minimum 10 years work experience using C/C++ programming languages

Minimum 10 years work experience with embedded firmware systems

Minimum 10 years work experience with Unix/Linux programming and application environment, including expertise in memory management, threads and interprocess communication

Minimum 3 years work experience with Object-Oriented design and implementation

Work experience with unit testing and hardware simulation required

Experience as team lead preferred

Leadership, negotiation and communication skills required
