Sports Marketing Director

Description:

plays a leading role in the strategy, development and execution of sports partnerships and marketing plans across a wide range of sports; including the nba, nfl nhl, mlb and extreme sports.  manages ongoing alliances and seeks out new prospects, negotiates and/or guarantees valuable deals and makes certain strong activation plans are developed.  this position also, ensures the development of an associate sports marketing manager.

 

Responsibilities:

+  developing strategically sound and creative ideas.

+  generating compelling activation plans to drive consumer, retailer and distributor excitement.

+  day to day maintenance of over 15+ athletes.

+  identifying and targeting new prospective partners with sports industry experts, contacts and suppliers.

+  negotiating optimal deal points and terms between key internal and external stakeholders.

+  securing letters of intent and contractual documentation.

+  managing and coordinating the distribution of athlete assets.

+  assisting field development organization with in-store promotions, pos and sports-themed marketing initiatives.

+  growing and maintaining relationships with partners.

+  monitoring the sports marketing budget.
