MAJOR FUNCTION:This position is responsible for the monthly closing of all ACD Divisions (excl. Skinceuticals) including Journal Entries (J/Es) and analysis. - Prepare, reconcile, and analysis of GR/IR Inventory. - Prepare, reconcile, and analysis of ACD Sales and Use Tax. - Preparation of Month-end reporting to ACD Senior Management and Corporate for these areas maintaining the integrity of the company Financials through: PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:- Accurate recording of all Recurring & Manual JE's for all ACD Divisions.- Run various month-end reports as needed to facilitate monthly close, i.e.; House Order, Royalty, PPP & Inventory Reports.- Prepare & issue Inter-Branch statements as required & reconcile month-end I/B balances.- Report actual Royalty expense for each division to Corp. - Prepare & issue various reports, i.e.; Detailed Inventory to Brand Op's- Provide Monthly Indicators to I&C.- The reconciliation of GR/IR Inventory between ACD and L'Oreal Affiliates/plants/vendors.- Consistency check of Inventory balances (Standard and Moving Average). - Review & Analyze balance sheet accounts as required. - Liaison with PwC during the June & November Audits if applicable. - All Sales and Use Tax J/Es, reporting - Liaison with Corporate Tax Department. - Assist Manager with special projects as required., i.e.; NFI/Excess Inventory analysis - Provide support to ACD Finance team as needed, i.e.; P&L Account Analysis.DIRECTION/RESPONSIBILITY:Must be able to work independently. This position will operate under the general supervision of the ACD Accounting Director. This individual is expected to handle multiple tasks, be detail oriented and be able to adhere to deadlines. Good verbal/written communication skills and a proficiency in EXCEL are required. Overtime as needed. Position Relocates to Berkley Heights, NJ in the First Quarter of 2009 DESIRABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: College degree with specialization in Accounting.Two to four years of related experience. Previous SAP experience is a plus. Proficient in Excel; Microsoft Access is a plus. Working towards a MBA and/or CPA is a plus.
