Sr. Business Analyst - JD Edwards

We currently are seeking a dynamic and innovative Sr. Business Analyst. This key position will be based in our corporate offices in Northridge, CA.

 

As Sr. Business Analyst, you will be responsible for the following activities:

 Manages and plans daily production support activities for assigned company personnel, internal / external business partners, and business users engaged in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of information systems which provide competitive advantages for the company.Leads and execute Project Management discipline across the system development life cycle. Ensures all assigned projects follow Pharmavite's Systems Development Methodology. Defines, in conjunction with ITS project management and users, the requirements for systems being developed for functional areas and develops the scope for individual systems.Participates in the planning and execution of systems tests and user training. Additionally, participates in business meetings, project planning and implementation. May be entirely responsible for these tasks on small and / or medium size systems.Assists in resolving technical problem reports on the production environments.Performs business requirements evaluation for selection and implementation of hardware and software associated with assigned projects.Maintains technical knowledge of hardware and software tools utilized in the development and support of assigned systems. May consults with vendors on software required to support business requirements.Partners with the business community to identify opportunities for logical and procedural improvement, this could include process improvement, system selection, and strategic development.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

Education:

 

Requires a four-year college or university degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field.

 

Experience:

 

Requires five to eight years of experience in the analysis and support of JD Edwards ERP systems in client-server, midrange and/or enterprise server computing environments in a manufacturing and distribution environment, with in-depth knowledge of JD Edwards Sales Order Management, Advance Pricing modules /JDE Warehousing and Manufacturing modules.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

 

Requires:Comprehensive knowledge of the systems development life cycle, structured analysis and design techniques, user requirements definition, interviewing and data collection techniques PC-based packages used in development and/or support of production systems, conversion activities, testing methodologies, and implementation proceduresStrong knowledge of business functions being supported, strong business problem solving abilityThe ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing, strong time and work management skills and the ability to resolve critical project issuesExperience in project planning and control
