In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn about and gain exposure to many different areas within Mattel, including Finance, International Sales, Distribution, Operations and others. The position reports directly into the international finance organization.BUSINESS IMPACTThe position oversees the financial activity of one of the regions of the international division, including analyzing and reporting monthly actuals, forecasts and plan as well as advising management on capital expenditure requestsand any special projects affecting those markets.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES- Oversees the accounting and finance activities of one of the regions of the international division' Collects, analyzes and understands actuals, forecasts and plan' Prepares in rotation the International Division's weekly reporting- Consolidates all entities of the region on the Mattel P&L reporting system for divisional reporting, including actuals and forecasting.- Performs financial analyses to influence business decisions and provide recommendations to management on projects that affect the markets.- Coordinates with the markets the communication regarding major events that impact accounting and financials, e.g. tax changes, audits.- Maintains on-going relationship with the markets to understand the state of the business, the major changes and the key factors that impact the business.KEY SUCCESS FACTORS' Strong analytical skills' Strong system skills' Ability to interface with all levels of management QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION' BA/BS required (finance preferred); MBA preferred' 3-5 years work experience in finance, preferably in a consumer goods or retail industry' Strong proficiency with MS Office tools; advanced Excel required.
