Sr Financial Analyst - Brands Group

This position will report to the Manager of Finance and will be responsible for maintaining the financial integrity of the business unit financial statements by doing the following:1. Actively monitor the financial statements during close periods ensuring financial activity is accurately recorded and supported.2. Effectively communicate the business performance against the plan, forecasts, and prior results3. Make recommendations to improve business profitability and process flow4. Represent the Finance point-of-view at cross-functional meetings with other groups. 5. Support the development, analysis, and forecasting of the financial plan for the consolidated Girls & Boys business unit 6. Identify key risks/opportunities to the consolidated plans 7. Provide in-depth financial analysis related to key business unit initiatives8. Participate in strategic initiatives that focus on creating additional value to the brands.9. Ensure compliance with Corporate policy and Sarbanes Oxley requirements Requirements:' BS/BA required (Finance, Accounting, Economics preferred); CPA/MBA preferred' 3-5 years experience in financial/P&L analysis' Oracle experience required; Hyperion Enterprise & Planning preferred' Excel proficiency required including use of pivot tables and formulas such as VLOOKUP and SUMIF' Experience in consumer products or manufacturing/operations preferred' Must be proactive, high energy, detailed oriented, and results oriented' Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of company personnel required' Willingness to work outside normal responsibilities to achieve desired results required' Must posses the highest ethical and accuracy standards' Ability to handle multiple projectsAt Mattel, we have a vision to be The World's Premier Toy Brands - Today and Tomorrow.
