Sr. Supply Management Analyst

I. Position Summary

 The Sr. Supply Management Analyst (Contract Manufacturing Repack) reports to the Suppler Manager -Repack in Contract Manufacturing
 Responsible for providing support to the Contract Manufacturing Supply Manager in the areas of maintaining the relationship with the existing Third Party Manufacturing base, managing the outsourcing operational project execution, and assisting in the search, validation, & establishment of future outsourcing opportunities.
 Is a supply management expert in data analysis and use of e-Sourcing tools

II. Position Responsibilities (Expected Work)
 Aid in the implementation of future outsourcing opportunities
 Prepare market intelligence of appropriate supply / technology market
 Conduct ongoing supplier benchmarking
 Design and prepare cost models
 Implement confidentiality agreements
 Assemble New Project “Fact Sheets” to prospective Co-packers.
 Become fully operational and actively use e-Sourcing tools
 Use e-RFIs, e-RFPs, e-auctions, e-exchanges (e.g. Develop RFI, RFP and e-auction documents) as needed.
 As needed analyze supplier responses and prepare summary reports for team discussion and decision making.
 Monitor and track ongoing supplier performance data / KPIs.
 Prepare supplier evaluation / assurance data to ensure supply base meets agreed performance criteria for service and quality.
 Facilitate continuous improvement with the supply base - communicates output, follows up corrective action and review with internal customers, supplier relationship managers and suppliers.
 As needed participate in the sourcing strategy development for specified technologies within area of spend responsibility.
 Represents Contract Manufacturing on Category Working Teams, Co-packer run strategy Teams, Project and Innovation Teams as necessary.
 Assist in the ongoing management of existing Third Party Manufacturing relationships.
 Resolve payment issues
 Assure compliance with Unilever’s Record Retention program and business practices
 Coordinate resolution of discontinued materials
 Review Copacker cost sheets
 Maintaining Unilever Asset Inventories
 Upholds Unilever code of business ethics in all activities.

 Monitoring contract manufacturer compliance with business processes and standards.
 Interacting with individuals within & outside of Unilever, at all levels of management, to complete assigned tasks.

IV. Scope
 Coordinates repack arrangements within a network that spans across the US and Canada.
 Generates significant value to the business via capital avoidance, lower total cost of goods, innovation support, speed to market, and manufacturing flexibility.
 Liaisons / coordinates with all supply chain functions, SC planning, Inventory Control, R&D, Product Development, Finance, Engineering, Marketing, and Legal in support of on-going business and new initiatives.

V. Key Requirements, Skills & Competencies
 Education - Bachelors Degree, Supply Chain discipline preferred but not essential
 Experience - Minimum of 5+ years of broad based Supply Chain responsibilities, SAP experience preferred
Intermediate skills with MS Excel
Incumbent should have a strong manufacturing background

 Competencies -
Will need to drive continuous improvement through supply chain integration.
Has strong contacts with supplier.
Proficient use of IT/SAP to aid in identifying opportunities in maintaining a productive relationship with Copackers.
Enables Project Execution.
Must be able to hold copackers accountable for KPI delivery.
Must be able to work in teams through active participation and contribution, delivering on deadlines and be supportive of peers and manager to accomplish shared goals.

Vl. Comments
 This is a technical position with the need to utilize proficient IT/SAP and organizational skills to complete expected results.
 This position requires an individual with strong interpersonal/communication skills to liaison between numerous internal and external customers.
