Strategic Planning and Project Analyst

This position reports to the Director of Strategic Planning (reporting to EVP of North America) and will support her to structure, identify, manage and deliver projects for the North American Meetings business.  These projects will include testing of new services and new product roll

 

Responsibilities

1. Develop hypotheses and prove/disprove with supporting analysis

2. Manage high-priority strategic projects to support Senior Management team to identify, develop and implement business opportunities

3. Work with key stakeholders across the company to ensure projects are developed in a smooth and integrated fashion.

4. Understand the business and key issues at a detailed level; proactively research issues; anticipate opportunities and provide answers / insights to key questions before they are asked;

5. Develop presentations on key initiatives and the state of the business for senior management and the Board of Directors; includes participating in annual and long-term planning

6. Assist EVP of North America with preparation of Board of Directors presentations and other management updates

7. Support and manage components of high priority strategic projects.

Experience

·  Minimum of 3-4 years experience with a leading strategy consulting firm, preferably in progressively more senior assignments with project and people-management responsibility or with the strategy/business development department within a leading growth company

·  Demonstrated leadership and project management skills in a team setting especially in situations where team members are not direct reports

·  Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization on both a verbal & written basis, with emphasis on providing senior management with information required to support business growth, improve profitability, and identify new opportunities

·  Superior communications (written/verbal), presentation and facilitation skills

·  Quantitative and graphical presentation skills
