Strategic and Bidding Price Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Sargent Art, a leading supplier of art materials to the educational and retail markets has an immediate opening for Strategic Bidding and Pricing Manager in its S.E. Florida location.  As a member of the Sargent Art team, the successful candidate will analyze and develop pricing strategies that will increase revenue and company profitability in the educational bid market. The Strategic Bidding and Pricing Manager will all be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to respond to educational bids based on prior bid history and competitive pricing information.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Manage the bid recap and bid award process for all bidding houses.Identify sales opportunities through analysis of wins/losses and bid history.Respond to Educational Bid Requests and track the success of bid pricing.Develop strategies to streamline the process and increase the effectiveness of school bids.Develop detailed understanding of the school bid process including opportunities and pricing structure.Resolve pricing issues relating to special and/or bid pricing with customer service.Provide detailed reports to reflect profitability, projections and special pricing. Respond to special quote requests.Develop and utilize a pricing approval process.Communicate with dealers (school bidding houses) to increase number of line bids and utilize special pricing opportunities.

 

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:Bachelor’s Degree (finance, business).Ability to compare and statically analyze bid information.High levels of energy, integrity and enthusiasm.Excellent communications and analytical skills. Ability to meet deadlines.Must be self-motivated, goal driven and be able to map out own calendar to achieve organizational goals.Solid experience in MS Office Applications, especially spreadsheets.Attention to detail and accuracy a must.Bid experience preferred.
