Responsible for the overall coordination of production and/or EPSU activities in assigned areas. Responsible for being a proactive problem catalyst who develops and coaches associates to prevent and solve problems. Ensure company policies, quality procedures and good manufacturing practices (GMPs) are understood and followed by associates, including: HR policies; company goals and objectives; USDA regulations; taste panels; and quality standards. Ensure productivity goals are achieved and set direction for the team to accomplish these goals. Clearly define and communicate to associates their impact on individual and team performance. Develop and coach associates to ensure they can coordinate the line/area in the Team Leader's absence. Ensure performance audits are conducted on an on-going basis. Perform daily and weekly planning to ensure that the scheduling of ingredients, personnel and products are utilized in the most cost effective manner. Communicate with other shifts any information that might aid the production/EPSU personnel on those shifts. Conduct team meetings with full associate participation including both small group and entire team meetings. Ensure that all associates are fairly and properly managed for performance, attendance, safety, annual evaluations, coaching, counseling sessions and training. Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration or related field. Two (2) plus years experience in a related field in a manufacturing environment preferred.
