Systems Analyst

 

Link Computer Corporation has a client who is looking to hire a Systems Analyst on a contract to hire.  Full time with full benefits are available during the contract period through Link. 

 

Individual will gain an understanding of the clients Service systems and offer assistance in enhancing the process and flow, plus assist in implementation.

 

Some attributes the person should have are:

Understanding of Service business would be very helpful.

Some knowledge of AS 400, RPG, and .NET.

Individual would be a design person who understands technology.

Individual would be able to determine solutions and write specifications

 

Contributes overall strategic vision to the organization and integrates a broad

range of ideas regarding software selection and business process integration.

Recognized across the organization for business process expertise and sought as

a resource for resolution of unique or complex business system solutions.

Undertakes the most complex analysis projects involving multiple disciplines and

multiple business units. This position has the potential for up to 50% travel

both domestic and international.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Integration of acquisitions quickly and accurately including development of a

project plan that includes any relevant system gaps and data conversion tasks

 

Implementation of strategic projects using excellent project management skills

and clear defined requirement definitions

 

Documentation and education of team on best practices within area of expertise

including relevant technology options and alternative solutions

 

Documentation of systems through technical process maps and detailed business

rules

 

Regular communication with vendor software providers to request and assist in

developing product enhancements

 

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS (SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES)

 

Direct involvement with aligned Business Consultant

 

Involvement with user community for definition, requirements, and proof of

concept meetings

 

Direct involvement with tactical analysts to communicate program requirements

and system issues

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 

Four-year college degree, advanced degree preferred.

 

Over ten years experience in Information Systems or related field

 

Microsoft Project, implementation and application development; RPG

–must be able to navigate and read code; DB2; MAPICS is a plus.

 

Advanced knowledge of best practices in area of expertise

 

Excellent project management skills
