Position Overview: This role will be responsible for the development of new or existing products at the bench, pilot plant and factory levels. This position requires the ability to provide expertise and complete project work in the area of pasta formulation and processing. This role will work independently and in conjunction with manufacturing facilities producing pasta and sauces. The position will partner with the Manufacturing/Operations group to improve pasta production capabilities and procedures. As applicable, this position will work with Nestlé Purchasing team members to improve profit.Responsibilies include:Planning, coordinating and conducting bench top, pilot plant, and manufacturing plant tests in accordance with timelines. Maintain accurate records of work. Propose, develop, test and coordinate the implementation of internal process improvements. Research and implement new and improved ingredients and technologies/equipment, working in cross-functional teams as needed. Act as key contact for division on pasta and cereal science. Participate in team and departmental activities, such as panels, meetings, committees and administrative obligations. Maintain technical skills and personal improvement through completion of appropriate training. This position will consult with equipment and ingredient vendors on design and quality improvements, respectively. This position will be responsible for the scale-up to manufacturing and to foresee processing risks and opportunities. Must have the ability to manage parallel and sequential project task opportunities and to identify and communicate project costs and timing opportunities and risk. Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in pasta manufacturing and BS/MS in Food Science. A MS in Cereal Science is preferred. This position requires knowledge of milling, pasta manufacturing, processing/cooking, equipment and suppliers. Experience with sauce manufacturing and knowledge of functional ingredients a plus. Must be comfortable working in production facilities. The position requires strong project management/leadership, communication, and presentation skills. RESPOND HERE!
