RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Coordinate account specific promotions:
- Assess account/sales team initiated concept/idea for fit with brand strategy;
-Coordinate with brand group and supply chain to validate costs/feasibility/timing;
-Develop consensus and generate RCE (Rough Cost Estimate).
· Develop sales presentations and trade plans; work collaboratively and have ongoing communication with the Customer Strategy, Field Sales and Brand teams to:
- Develop the product “story”, integrating category and consumer data,
- Outline key elements of trade plan (product distribution objectives, placement, pricing & promotion),
- Review and coordinate pricing and promotion guidelines,
- Analyze impact of promotions and communicate accordingly.
· Develop special packs that meet brand objectives and account requirements
· Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Customer Strategy to develop and coordinate account specific items/SKU’s; forecast and track retailer requirements for promotions, displays and special packs.
REQUIREMENTS:
· BA/BS degree required; MBA helpful
· Minimum of five years of CPG sales or marketing experience in the mass,/drug/grocery/club classes of trade
· Strong knowledge of retail environment, with previous sales and/or marketing experience within consumer products industry
· Solid project management, analytical, follow-through, execution and creative problem solving skills
· Strong understanding of trade marketing principles
· Advanced MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
· Ability to travel 10-15% of time to key retailer locations and sales meetings
