Training Manager (Contract)
LEVLAD manufactures and distributes personal care products including shampoos, conditioners, lotions and masques. LEVLAD’s three primary segments sell 1) it’s own brand, Nature’s Gate, 2) to it’s sister company, Arbonne International, and 3) to other health and beauty companies on a private label basis.
LEVLAD’s product development philosophy derives from a natural approach to hair and skin care. This was first reflected in the original shampoos and conditioners formulated over 25 years ago from rainwater collected in Venice, California. Since then, LEVLAD’s product development procedures have been driven by the philosophy of collecting vitamins, extracts and botanicals from nature in order to yield effective, premium-quality body and hair care solutions.
Due to the exciting growth and changes at LEVLAD, we are currently looking for a contract Training Manager to help the team on a temporary basis.
MAJOR FUNCTION:
To educate and train the Nature’s Gate sales force, retailers and demonstration representatives to increase sales productivity and brand awareness
Essential Duties Responsible for the training and development of retail sales staff, demonstration representatives and sales personnel. Develop, plan, organize and execute monthly trainings in territory, by phone, and online. Negotiate all costs and catering fees associated with training meetings. Partner with sales force and retail clients to identify training needs and business opportunities within total territory. Work in store to support training and develop relationships with Retail sales staff as well as to introduce and sell Nature’s Gate to consumers. Work with sales force to recruit, manage and track Demonstration Representatives, sales and budget. Responsible for tracking and controlling fiscal budget for all training meetings and travel. Merchandise and help set up key trade shows. Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Skills Required
· 4-5+ years prior experience training personal care and/or cosmetics to retail and sales personnel. Natural category experience preferred.
· Willingness to travel up to 75%
· Excellent communication and public speaking skills
· Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work in entrepreneurial environment with limited traditional data sources and resources
· Ability to prioritize and execute for results in a fast paced environment on time and within budget.
· Proficient in all Microsoft Suites Skills Supervisory Responsibilities None
