VICE PRESIDENT, SUPPLY CHAIN AND MANUFACTURING OPERATIONS

 

 

Company Background: Americhip produces the most creative and complex print advertising, magazine inserts, packaging, premiums and gift cards for the largest brands and their agencies around the world.  We produce Multisensorized® advertising in our manufacturing facilities in the U.S., Mexico and Asia.  Our home office is in Torrance, CA and we have sales offices in New York, Detroit, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Chicago, Las Vegas, Seattle and London.

 

Position Summary

The Vice President is responsible for the overall management of our manufacturing processes and the management of our domestic and foreign suppliers.  In this role, the Vice President is responsible to qualify all suppliers, develop and oversee our Supplier Protocol, establish and manage costing guidelines to ensure strengthened gross margins and establish and manage product integrity, safety and environmental procedures for all products supplied by our vendor base. 

 

Key Experience

Extensive Toy, Premium or Electronic Consumer Products design engineering, production, materials management and manufacturing experience. 

 

Established relationships with Asia factories for electronics, printing, plastics fabrication, premium and toy manufacturers

 

Experience in implementing and upgrading key supplier programs including:  quality assurance, safety, environmental and code of conduct.

 

Proven experience driving costs out of existing production and designing new products to meet budgeted costs.

 

Proven success working collaboratively with senior management and managing interdepartmental teams.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or engineering discipline

15+ years experience in manufacturing toys, premiums, consumer electronics

5 years at a Director or higher level

Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
