The company offers differentiated food ingredient technologies that give the customer significant finished product advantages. The company is searching for a proven sales leader to lead and to grow product sales into select food companies, both domestic and international. The company has a solid and growing presence in the IFT space. Company revenues have more than doubled over the last 3 years, and 2008 is expected to be the strongest in the company’s history.Job Description: The VP of Sales will manage and will direct a seasoned sales force and will be responsible for managing the company’s existing nutrition and food ingredient business, as well as developing new business. Target customers include the major food products companies (i.e. Kraft, General Mills, Nabisco, etc.)Key Responsibilities: Meet and exceed the company’s sales targets for the division. Direct sales force to develop new business while managing existing accounts and distributors. Work directly with sales team reports on account prospecting, pricing, targeting, business priorities, industry trends, new business and new product initiatives. Collaborate with Marketing to develop targeted messaging, presentation materials, advertising, PR and other materials; work closely with Operations to ensure consistent and positive communication. Domestic and international travel (up to 60%) in support of direct customers, distributors, and sales personnel. Identify and attend trade shows and conferences.Experience Required: Ten or more years in sales of food ingredients or nutritional products, or in CPG Finished Food products Five years experience managing field sales professionals in the food ingredients or nutritional products, or in CPG Food products Experience in business strategy and strategic development. Verifiable record of success in sales and sales management. High degree of motivation, entrepreneurial spirit, and ability to positively impact the motivation of others.Compensation:Very competitive salary package, commensurate with experience.
