Vice President of Marketing

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Sargent Art, a leading supplier of art materials to the educational and retail markets has an immediate opening for a VP of Marketing in its S.E. Florida location.  As a member of the senior management team, the VP of Marketing will lead all marketing and sales initiatives including the creation and implementation of corporate branding, competitive analysis, marketing strategy, and external marketing communications.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:Work in concert with the CEO to develop and refine long range market share growth strategy with short-term plans, both domestically and internationally. Evaluate market trends to identify threats and opportunities and adapt strategies to changing market conditions. Develop advertising and promotion campaigns that are effective, creative and within the specified operating budget. Work with sales organization to analyze promotion effectiveness. Execute new packaging projects and label updates. Supervise the associates assigned to the Marketing Department.

 SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:Results-oriented individual with a winning attitude and a passion for growth. Strong analytical, project and staff management skills. Team player able to build consensus, see the big picture and work across company departments. Out of the box visionary who can translate strategies into concrete tactical plans. Outstanding written and verbal communication, negotiation, interpersonal skills.

 QUALIFICATIONS:BA, BS required; MBA preferred. 10+ years marketing experience in sales, brand management, consumer/retail products. Preference will be given to candidates with proven experience in the arts and crafts arena.
