KIK LA located in the City of Industry, procures, blends, fills and packages a wide variety of aerosol and liquid personal care products.

We are searching for a hands-on WAREHOUSE MANAGER with experience in a small to medium sized manufacturing plant. This is an ideal fit for a proactive leader with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude that can make things happen. Responsibilities in this role will include directing and controlling multi-manufacturing warehousing facilities to ensure the efficiency and economical utilization of facilities for storing and distributing raw materials and finished goods. This individual will also be responsible for planning and scheduling department functions to ensure the prompt delivery and accurate quantity of materials ordered. This position reports to the Materials Manager.

ADDITIONAL CAPABILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS FOR SUCCESS:Directly supervises 30 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Effectively presents information and responds to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general publicEnsures prompt and accurate recording of the receipts of all incoming materialsEnsures proper storage of all production materials and finished goodsEnsures a safe working environment within the warehouse and plant operationHandles Hazardous Waste, Provides Customer Service Effectively utilize all assigned personnel to minimize overall operational costs of the warehouse and plant operationMaintain inventory accuracy of all production materials and finished goodsEnsure compliance with all GMP’s within the warehouse and plant operationEstablishes and maintains key customer service level measurements including loading times by customer, activity profiles by department, carrier performance issues including appointment varianceMaintains knowledge of and compliance with applicable government regulations. Implements and trains proper safety & shipping procedures and guidelines.Implements effective procedures to reduce and monitor material usage for all manufacturing ordersManage month-end inventory closeouts. Ensure month-end balances are accurate and manage cut-off timing Manage scrap and obsolete material destruction

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:EXPERIENCE IN MANUFACTURING IS REQUIREDBachelor’s degree from a four year college or university.  Advanced degree a significant asset.Minimum 5 years experience in a warehouse supervisory capacity environment; willing to consider combination of experience and educationSmall packaged goods warehousingOversees PreWeigh Department therefore must have experience with chemicalsExperience in carrier selection, rate negotiation, etc.Multi site warehouse management experience highly preferredsmall package experience is notedKnowledge/certification of hazardous shippingERP system knowledge and experience is an assetMust be proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word and OutlookBilingual experience is a plus but not required
