Western Regional Sales Manager

Seeking an experienced lawn & garden sales professional to be responsible for the day to day activities that support & develop sales growth in Washington, Oregon and Idaho markets.
Ideal candidate will:
Develop business relationships and sales plans with decision makers at independent garden centers and multi-store chains. Ethically grow profitable sales by developing new accounts and strengthening relationships with existing customer base. Develop executable business plans for key accounts - review and report results. Combine data, judgment & insight to make informed and timely problem solving decisions & recommendations Drive specific Customer Program bids lining up with recommended pricing. Understand and document retail environment, consumer needs, competitive situations and business trends Proactive ongoing review of cost and benefits to expenditures Responsible for evaluating and maintaining projection files with timely adjustments to sales plans that reflect changing sales conditions Ability to expand listings with an eye for margin retention self-starter - working from home office Foster open honest communication with customers, co-workers and management team Excellent presentation skills including oral and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point Must have valid drivers license and proof of auto insurance Ability to drive and travel long distances for extended periods Ability to work weekends when needed Ability to transport sales presentation materials and samples Be a valued team member in a success-oriented environment where employees are empowered, accountable and have the opportunity to grow personally and professionally
