DESCRIPTION:Reporting to the Chief Campus Counsel’s Executive Assistant, the incumbent will provide administrative support to the Chief Health Sciences Counsel (CHSC) on a wide range of issues which are highly confidential. Duties include administrative and/or secretarial support, coordination of projects and tasks, as well as office management. Position requires tact, independent judgment, and strict confidentiality.QUALIFICATIONS:* Demonstrated knowledge of legal procedures, terminology and formats.* General knowledge and understanding of legal issues in higher education at the local, state and federal levels.* Excellent decision-making skills in the realm of legal administration.* General understanding of budget and accounting processes.* Demonstrated knowledge of records management.* Exceptional interpersonal skills to communicate and interact in a courteous and effective manner.* Demonstrated high-level organizational skills, ability to multi task, attention to details, ability to prioritize and follow through on assignment in a timely manner.* Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in handling a variety of sensitive and confidential matters.* Excellent problem solving skills.
