AS Programs Coordinator

PROGRAMS COORDINATOR

 

Under the direction of the Aztec Center Director, the Programs Coordinator is responsible for the development and implementation of social, cultural, educational, special event and entertainment programming for the Associated Students that enhances student life, fosters student learning and builds a sense of campus community. The Programs Coordinator conceives and implements a comprehensive marketing and promotions program, advises the A.S. Cultural Arts & Special Events Board (CASE) and assists CASE in the formulation, coordination and execution of all programs. 

 

The ideal candidate is a creative, resourceful and multi-task oriented professional who enjoys working with students and the general public in a diverse and frequently changing environment.  Qualifications include three years of arts and event programming and marketing experience in a college union/student center or non-profit organization; exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal skills; demonstrated experience supervising students and volunteers; experience in the complexities of event production, working with artists, general knowledge of technical production, knowledge of crowd control and event management; experience developing and implementing marketing and promotions plans; ability to use and learn a variety of computer software programs required, experience in web design is preferred.  Graduation from an accredited four-year university or college or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes irregular hours, weekends and holidays.

 

 SALARY & BENEFITS:

Salary Range: $43,064-$64,596/year.  This is a full-time, hourly, exempt position.
