Academic Advisor - Emmanuel College

The Academic Advisor facilitates the academic success and personal growth of students through consistent, supportive interactions and interventions. Essential responsibilities include:

- Advising first and second year traditional students, including transfers, and maintaining current advisee records;

- Guiding students through major/minor selection process;- Monitoring progress of students on academic probation;

- Facilitating off-campus summer study with students and academic departments and registrar;

- Collaborating with the International Program Office regarding adjustment and academic progress of international advisees;

- Participation in foundation skills assessment, and course selection for incoming students;

- Representing Emmanuel at Colleges of the Fenway Academic Advisors' meetings;

- Other duties as assigned.

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills essential. Master's degree in relevant field and two to four years of prior experience in higher education required. Demonstrated prior experience with diverse populations and/or a background in diversity programming and outreach desired.
