Position Summary:
The Academic Manager will oversee all phases of our students’ academic experience. They will manage every aspect of instruction including quality of tutors and staff training with an eye toward continually improving the academic progress of every student in the Center.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct and manage the service delivered to our members including parent communication, management of tutors, delivery of instruction and student motivation.
• Manage part time tutor recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, and instructional quality.
• Supervise all Center staff to effectively monitor and manage student lesson plans, student academic progress and assessments.
• Work with the National Director of Academics to ensure the Center meets and exceeds company progress benchmarks.
• Manage the assimilation of new materials and methods into programs, as well as the dissemination of information about program updates.
• Create and implement tutor training.
• Act as a positive academic role model to all students.
• Manage referral and re-enrollment programs.
• Participate in sales and marketing events and initiatives occurring in the Center.
Requirements:
· Bachelors Degree; excellent academic record
· Passion for and experience in education; 1-2 years of teaching and/or curriculum development preferred but not required
· Effective teaching skills
· Leadership, management and team motivation skills
· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle numerous details
· Strong interpersonal, communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills
· Desire to work in an intense, fast paced environment
· Strong problem solving, decision-making, listening and creative thinking abilities
· Passion for customer service and business growth
· Ability to work independently and take initiative
· Ability to travel locally and work during evenings and weekends
· Must be authorized to work in the United States
