SchoolNet is actively seeking an Account Executive who will be responsible for selling SchoolNet’s award winning solution to superintendents and administrators of the nation’s 400 largest school districts.  If you are a proven, quota-carrying sales professional who thrives on growing a loyal customer base within the nation’s 400 largest school districts, we want to hear from you.  This position reports to the Western Vice President, Sales.  

Primary Responsibilities

·  Identify and close sales to meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales objectives and quotas

·  Develop a thorough understanding of school districts’ needs and their decision making process, and sell SchoolNet’s software applications and services to provide school districts with the tools to improve student achievement

·  Direct SchoolNet’s extensive presales resources to work with constituents to close opportunities

·  Record weekly sales progress updates in SchoolNet’s CRM reporting tool

·  Develop relationships with key school district leadership

·  Maintain an active prospect list and ensure ongoing prospect development

·  Participate in regional and national marketing events in order to develop strong and confident working relationships with key school leadership

 

Qualifications and background

·  Demonstrated track record of success in closing multi-million dollar opportunities and overachieving quota and revenue goals. 

·  Solid sales forecasting abilities and revenue achievement, while building satisfied, loyal, and referenceable customers.

·  Beyond a passion for sales and 5-7 years selling technology solutions to Enterprise markets, candidates should possess:

o  successful history of net new business sales

o  a background in inbound and outbound prospecting and closing of new business

o  Complex solution experience

·  Formal consultative sales training courses with demonstrated success in at least one major methodology

·  Excellent written and oral communication skills

·  Experience in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and practical experience with a CRM tool

·  Bachelor’s degree is required.  Master’s Degree or MBA a plus

·  Overnight travel required.

·  K-12 public education experience (e.g., teaching or administration) or industry experience a plus, but not required
