Accountant / Fund Manager

The UCLA Program in Global Health is on the cutting edge of HIV prevention and policy research and related international health issues. The UCLA Program in Global Health is currently seeking a qualified bookkeeper to manage approximately 15 federal and private grant funds totaling over $5 million per year. Responsibilities include: · Monthly reconciliation of all accounts · Monthly preparation of all financial reports for the Project Director · Prepare payroll and expense transfers, as needed · Calculate accurate short- and long-term budgets · Review all departmental purchases for accuracy and allowability · Pay telecommunications, rent, and other monthly expensesSkills required include: · Extreme attention to detail · Mastery of Microsoft Excel · Excellent English communication skills · Demonstrated knowledge of financial report preparation · Demonstrated knowledge of account reconciliation As a UC employee, you'll enjoy a competitive benefits package, including comprehensive health and welfare insurance plans protecting you and your family, generous leave provisions, an attractive pension plan and optional retirement savings opportunities.
