Acquisitions Marketing Manager

Investools, a market leader in fulfilling the lifelong education needs of self-directed investors, is seeking an Acquisition Marketing Manager for their New York City office.  The Acquisition Marketing Manager is responsible for new customer acquisition including planning, execution, optimization, growth, and budget management. To achieve this end, this person will need to manage cross-functional teams, agencies and processes, think strategically and understand business drivers, effectively use analytics and modeling to make decisions, have a functional knowledge of Web technologies, and be resourceful and a self-starter. Core to this position is the management of advertising and media buying agencies, cross-functional employees and vendors to drive interest and conversions.


Essential Duties:

The Acquisition Marketing Manager will lead, manage, and execute acquisition marketing activities including online and offline direct marketing, event marketing and branding activities. The successful candidate will:Directly contribute to and have a thorough understanding of the company's goals and metrics (revenues, costs and contribution margin).Develop and manage a budget and business plan for customer acquisition efforts, working closely with the online marketing manager and sales teams. Develop, implement, and manage short and long-term online marketing plans within budget and ROI targets; develop new ideas for driving trial and adoption; manage media plans and creative development.Use primary and secondary market research to identify growth opportunities, understand prospect and user needs and market and customer requirements to recommend acquisition product development opportunities, messaging and positioning, segmentation and personalization tactics, prices, offers and bundles. Provide in-depth analysis on marketing campaign performance and optimize/grow results; metrics will be reviewed daily and online marketing managers will present their analysis and findings to management on a regular basis. Maintain strong relationships with media companies, vendors and partners and new technologies; constantly review the marketplace for new opportunities.Maintain consistent branding across all online marketing efforts.

 Qualifications:

Outstanding marketing knowledge and direct marketing experience. Hands on experience with marketing campaigns, marketing campaign management and automation systems with track record of success.Experience managing agency relationships a must.Excellent writing and presentation skills, willingness to travel and flexibility and enthusiasm for the job.MBA and experience investing a plus.
