The S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management, a premier graduate business school focused on educating resourceful leaders and creating the knowledge to advance the boundaries of business practice and policy, is seeking a faculty member responsible for: - Teaching basic and advanced courses related to asset management; - Conducting innovative research on equity valuation and investment strategies; - Supporting and contributing to the mission of the Parker Center for Investment Research, which is to produce work which is of the very highest academic quality and relevant to the needs and interests of investment professionals;- Service to the School; and- Working with students, faculty, and executives to incorporate enhancements in the School's accounting and finance curriculum. This position also enables the School to attract a senior scholar.
Qualifications include: - A Ph.D. in finance, accounting, economics, management or a related field is strongly preferred;- All candidates must have significant knowledge of the asset management industry acquired through senior-level business experience and/or ongoing consulting in asset management- A recognized research reputation in the field; and - Evidence of teaching excellence. The ideal candidate would be expected to become a respected leader and productive member of an intensely research-oriented faculty. He/she will help to solidify a strong concentration and focus on practical asset management education and research by bringing both research skills and real-world perspective into the faculty ranks.
