Alumni Relations Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:Under moderate supervision of the Director of Alumni Relations withmoderate latitude for independent judgment, provide strategic support to a growing alumni relationsprogram. Assist with the planning, implementation and evaluation of programs and one-on-one outreachfocused on identification, solicitation and stewardship of alumni and building greater alumniinterest in and involvement with Pratt Institute, as well as facilitating greater connections amonggraduates.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:- Coordinate local, regional, national andinternational receptions and special events, annual alumni reunions, affinity reunions,Commencement, and exhibitions, from conception to completion and follow-up.- Manage dailyadministrative tasks (i.e., maintain confidential files and database; process invoices; oversee workstudy students; answer phones and respond to e-mail, directing or handling inquiries as needed;facilitate alumni card acquisition; etc.).- Research and compile alumni cultivation lists forone-on-one outreach as well as events.- Coordinate sites and catering selections, audio/visualneeds, transportation, and all other event arrangements and logistics as directed.- Coordinateindividual meetings and travel.- Assist with annual fund outreach.- Serve as liaison betweenalumni and Pratt Institute for all activities and inquiries.- Prepare and send mailings andconduct thorough follow-up with alumni for each event.- Help compile alumni surveys.- Assistwith tracking and finding lost Alumni.- Maintain alumni online calendar and presence.togenerate publicity and promote the public image of Pratt.- Perform all other related duties asassigned.QUALIFICATIONS:Education:Bachelor’s degreerequired.Experience:Must have at least two to three years’ administrative experience,including budgeting and office management, preferably in an academic, arts, or event-planningenvironment.Skills:Demonstrated superior interpersonal, verbal and written communicationskills and ability to manage multiple tasks with absolute deadlines required. Must have proficiencyin Windows applications and basic Photoshop skills.
