Radcliffe Child Care Center Inc., a full day child care facility affiliated with Harvard University, provides high-quality, child centered education and care to the Harvard community.  We have been in business for thirty-seven years and have been located at our DeWolfe Street address for the past seventeen years.  RCCC is licensed for sixty children, ages 3 months through five years and is accredited by the National Academy for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

 

Our center is located in Harvard Square, just minutes from the red line T stop and bus transportation. We are two blocks from the Charles River in a neighborhood filled with opportunities to walk, visit parks and enjoy all that Cambridge has to offer.

 

RCCC is seeking an assistant director to work closely with the Director to provide leadership and administrative support and direction to the staff. With the Director, the Assistant Director works to implement the philosophy, policies and procedures of the Center.  The A.D. works cooperatively with the members of the Board of Directors and its committees to meet annual goals, including financial goals.  The Assistant Director contributes to the mission to foster a warm and open community through the coordination of annual social and educational events.  In addition, the Assistant Director represents the Center in the community along with the Director or in her absence and serves as a resource to the parents at RCCC.  The Assistant Director assumes the responsibilities of the Director in her absence.

 Director qualified Strong ECE background—both education and experience (at least a Bachelor’s degree in ECE) Warmth and friendliness with a sense of humor and fun Genuine enjoyment of all kinds of children and families Professionalism –can set own goals and reflect on own performance Good problem-solving skills Collaborative team mate Devotion to highest level of practice Flexible and creative thinking Initiative Highly organized, able to multi-task and prioritize Excellent writing and speaking Computer literacy
