Assistant Director, Employer Development, Office of Career Management

DUTIES:
This position is to enable senior-level interaction between the Smith School and valued clients, including employers, vendors, students, and alumni. The Assistant Director will build upon existing and establish new relationships that will further the missions of the Smith School and the Office of Career Management. This position will have a main focus on interaction with employers seeking to hire undergraduate students and will also focus on relationships and recruiting plans for top and other specially designated employers as the OCM defines them year to year.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university, or equivalent experience
· 2-4 years of experience in recruiting and/or human resources management
· Experience in the field of education, higher education experience preferred
· Direct experience in career management or career services a plus
· Mature judgment
· Proven ability to integrate ideas and concepts
· Proven ability to make effective use of time, plan ahead, and coordinate multiple projects
· Highly developed organizational and computer skills, strict attention to details
· Friendly, flexible, service-oriented manner
· Proven ability to communicate effectively with external and internal clients at senior level
· Proven ability to respond positively to extreme pressures of time and workload
· Proven ability in oral and written communications
· Ability to work in a highly independent manner at times across functions within the school
· Ability and willingness to work extended hours, as required
SALARY:
Commensurate with experience.
