Assistant Director Test Administration

Evaluation Systems group of Pearson is an educational testing company that develops and administers customized teacher certification testing programs and other assessment programs in higher education. Our work covers assessments in more that one hundred content fields, professional teaching skills, and the basic skills of reading, writing, and mathematics. Evaluation Systems' contracts span the country and have included the states of Arizona, New Mexico, California, Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York, Oklahoma,Texas, Georgia, and Florida. We are seeking an Assistant Director of Test Administration to work with the Director of Test Administration to provide leadership and direction for company wide test administration activities. The Assistant Director will work collaboratively within the company to expand and enhance company services. Responsibilities include: working with Test Administration Services management staff to implement the requirements for teacher certification testing; working with internal departments to formulate direction, develop plans,define procedures, and implement test administration initiatives; providing technical support and guidance to various departments in the areas of registration, test delivery, scoring, and reporting. Travel for the company as needed is required. The requirements include: a bachelor's degree in a related field; at least seven to ten years of significant experience in operations leadership positions; demonstrated experience working with paper-based or computer-based test administrations; demonstrated experience with profit and loss management; excellent oral and written communications skills; strong computer usage skill set including the Web and Microsoft office systems; experience with call center management, data reporting and analysis, and/or facilities management/conference planning is a plus.
