Assistant Professor of Special Education (Applied Behavior Analysis) - Special Education / College of Arts and Sciences (CAS)
Summary:
We are seeking applicants for a tenure track position available in Fall 2008. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to teach a broad range of introductory, advanced, and graduate courses in applied behavior analysis and special education. Responsibilities include recruiting, advising, and mentoring graduate students, particularly doctoral candidates. The candidate must pursue an active program of research and scholarship. We are particularly interested in applicants with a background in behavioral medicine (e.g., treatment of eating disorders, weight control, exercise adherence) and organizational behavior management.
Requirements:
Ph.D. or Ed.D (Board Certified Behavior Analyst-TM); distinguished scholarly record centered on behavior analysis in education; acknowledged excellence in teaching with special emphasis on fusing state-of the-science technology and pedagogy; demonstrated success in executing a research agenda and guiding students to publication; commitment to diversity and working within interdisciplinary communities; exemplary record of providing leadership to schools, agencies, and professional organizations.
