Assistant Vice President, Leadership Gifts

Dean College announces a search for an Assistant Vice President of Institutional Advancement for Leadership Gifts. Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Institutional Advancement, and in close coordination with the President of the College, this individual will be the principal strategist for the leadership and major giving program of the College. The principal role of the Assistant Vice President is securing major gifts. To that end, this individual must be highly motivated to identify, research, cultivate, solicit and steward major donors. The AVP will work closely with the President in the development and execution of tailored strategies for each leadership gift prospect.

 

Qualifications A minimum of 7–10 years of experience in development work with extensive experience in the areas of major and leadership giving with a proven track record of raising money.S/he will hold a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and have a basic understanding of planned giving. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, outstanding organizational and interpersonal capabilities, ability to influence and persuade, a tremendous level of initiative and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
