BASIC PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVEPearson VUE is an international network of 400 plus testing centers throughout the world. One of the greatest challenges is to ensure the centers are open enough to meet the testing volume and maintain operational efficiency on the open days. The Capacity Analyst will be responsible for providing scheduling entry and support to the Capacity Management Group and accurately editing the operational schedules in the testing system. Strategic/daily direction and tasks will be provided by the Channel Planning Manager and Capacity Analysts.POSITION OVERVIEWThe Capacity Analyst Assistant makes sure that the availability rules are accurate by providing entry, training, documentation auditing and support. The schedules and candidate volume are monitored to ensure the performance metrics are being met. Understanding the impact and effects to business and customer service of the decisions/solutions provided are key to this position. Four year degree (completion or current pursuit) or equivalent experience preferred.- Two to four years experience in providing scheduling support and data entry/management.- Proven track record of data analysis and accuracy in documentation/data reporting.- Very strong computer skills especially Microsoft Excel. Must be able to manipulate large amounts of data.- Experience with other statistical or custom scheduling software tools is a plus.- Ability to operate a computer, fax, and other office equipment, as well as communicate over the telephone.- Experience in the airline or hotel industries with a capacity focus a plus.PRIMARY- Demonstrate attention to detail. Ability to create and follow detailed procedures and ensure accuracy in documentation and data.- Communication. Deliver accurate written and verbal information that will provide consistent goals with a standard format of information. Be able to talk and listen to clients effectively.- Influence and Persuasion. Convey positive instruction around corporate and client needs. Be tactful and sensitive in communication skills and prepare for issues and opportunities in advance.- Quality. Monitor and maintain quality standards and measures related to scheduling, capacity and meeting KPI goals.- Commitment to task. Be able to take responsibility for actions and outcomes and persist despite obstacles and demonstrate dependability in difficult circumstances and show a sense of urgency about getting results.- Customer focus. Demonstrate a high level of service delivery and do what is necessary to ensure customer satisfaction. Also, be able to deal with service failures and prioritize customer needs.- Planning, prioritizing and goal setting. Manage multiple projects and determine project urgency in a meaningful and practical way. Use goals to guide actions and create detailed training plans. Be able to organize and schedule individual tasks.SECONDARY- Systematic Problem Solving. Use logic, statistics and data in identifying current and potential issues. Focus on underlying processes to communicate accurate information and develop solutions to mitigate the problems.- Teamwork. Display enthusiasm and promote a friendly work environment. Work closely with other departments and clientele as necessary and support group decisions. Display team spirit.- Innovation. Efficiently adapt previously designed methods to productive new uses. Pursue ongoing improvement in procedures and systems that will positively enhance customer / client skills and work performance efficiency.- Problem Solving. Ability to identify and resolve problems through remote e-mail and phone access.- Superior working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and similar software packages and tools.- Working knowledge of industry standard computer software products: Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, Outlook. Knowledge of MS Project preferred.- Knowledge of and ability to use Internet.
