Associate Dean (8285)

The Associate Dean is responsible for assisting the Dean with day-to-day objectives, plans and programs of the college. The position manages faculty training and professional development to ensure quality instruction, compliance and customer satisfaction. The Associate Dean is in charge of managing student retention strategies and ensures retention objectives are met. Key Responsibililties Develops and maintains faculty training and professional development programs. Conducts regular meetings with faculty/staff to discuss curriculum or instructional staff concerns. Performs attrition analysis and supervises the retention program. Keeps record of all student complaints/concerns and conducts information sessions for resolution. Assist in the recruiting and selection of educational faculty as needed. Guides faculty to ensure compliance with company policies, governmental standards and accrediting organizations. Advise students regarding academic objectives. Required Skills: Minimum 3 years teaching experience at an accredited post-secondary education institution. At least 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred. Master's degree from an institution accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the US Department of Education is required. Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and presentation skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, the Internet, and management system software. Proven track record of project completions, multi-tasking, and the ability to handle a high pressure environment with significant timeline pressures. Proven educational or administrative experience in critical thinking, problem solving and judgment skills. Ability to utilize different methods and mediums to deliver professional development materials.
