We are currently seeking a passionate individual who cares about our members, and strives to provide them with dynamic, refreshing, and innovative family focused Health and Wellness programming.

GENERAL PURPOSE:
Responsible for Health and Wellness Programs including membership, sports, Aquatics and fitness; branch operations, leadership and development, budgets, staff development and training, as well as developing and maintaining key community partnerships in order to reach desired outcomes.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:
Demonstrate a vision of how to produce positive growth for the program, the branch and the entire association Have experience in the development and delivery of group exercise classes, family activities and youth, adult and senior fitness Possess exceptional knowledge in program review and evaluation, accompanied by a pro-active approach to innovation and program development Have knowledge and proven success in budgeting and financial monitoring Demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills in day to day facility management along with the supervision of recreation professionals

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES: Fiscal management of the Branch Health and Wellness Operating budget, including large membership department and all fitness, aquatics and sports programs Responsible for the continual development, implementation and reviewing the outcome of strong membership sales programs designed to increase branch membership and encourage retention Design and implement new health and wellness programs and monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of all programs Hire, train and develop department Directors to meet financial, program and membership goals. Develop and train staff to meet career goals Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with other community organizations to promote YMCA programs and create partnerships

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Current nationally recognized Group Exercise Certification, with a minimum of 3 years instructing experience. 5 years demonstrated Health and Wellness program development success in a 1500+ unit membership facility, 2 years of which must be at a supervisory level. YMCA experience/Director Certification a plus 4 yr degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science or related field, Person Training Certification preferred.
