Associate Vice President for Administration and Controller

Reporting to the Vice President for Administration, the Associate Vice President supervises, manages and maintains effective accounting, cash management, internal control and financial reporting systems for all College funds.  In addition to interpretation of business and fiscal policies, the incumbent oversees the Accounting, Purchasing, Student Accounts, and Financial Aid Departments, and serves as liaison with internal and external auditors and control agencies. 

 

Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree required, CPA or Master's degree in accounting or finance preferred, with at least five to ten years of mid-level financial management and/or fund accounting experience in higher education or large, complex non-profits, with demonstrated supervisory experience.  Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated ability to find computer solutions to complex processes, facility in the use of MS Office with proficiency in Excel and business applications. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse constituencies to common ends.  Must be able to do detail work, but also maintain a wide, institutional view. Salary $90’s to low $100’s based upon qualifications and experience.  Search remains open until filled.  Review of applications will begin June 17, 2008.
