We seek a detail-oriented professional to play an integral part in the fundraising efforts for Hastings College of the Law. Under the supervision of the Database/Operations Manager, you will be a pivotal member of the law school's advancement team by managing the gift recording and fund administration programs and communicating effectively with faculty, staff, deans and donors to ensure the correct use of gifts to the school's donor funds. You will also oversee processing and acknowledgement of all gifts, as well as pledge reminders on a quarterly basis and take responsibility for all donor stewardship and for achieving strong business practices that maximize donor satisfaction. We'll rely on you to serve as contact for donors and law school staff regarding the recording and administration of gifts received by the law school, provide reports on the use of gifts, work with the Assistant Dean and fundraising staff to set the policy and structure for creating and maintaining all gift and endowment file systems, help establish new funds as needed, including drafting fund terms, preparing documentation and determining fund type, initiate/maintain all bookkeeping transactions for the Alumni Center staff, including reimbursements, event payments, A/P and A/R, prepare annual operations budget and oversee expenditures.
Requirements include outstanding organizational, computer, analytical, quantitative, project management and communication skills, a superior attention to detail, accuracy and follow-through and the ability to develop a basic understanding of and interpret/implement college policy and practices regarding administration of gift funds. Your ability to work effectively and develop solutions in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines is essential, along with handling multiple projects, adhering to strict deadlines and functioning capably as an effective team member, leader, supervisor, coach and collaborator. Strong experience with MS Office, including Word and Excel is also necessary. Experience in a comparable fundraising or university/education environment is highly desirable, as is knowledge of basic accounting principles and methods and experience with Raiser's Edge. Demonstrated experience working effectively with donors, faculty, senior administration staff and volunteers preferred.
This opportunity offers an annual hiring salary range of $47,052-$65,868, commensurate with experience and an excellent fringe benefits package.
