Business Objects Developer for a reputed firm in Cambridge,MA

Location: Cambridge, MAYour location:home   »  find a job   »  advanced search   »  job description Apply Online Send this Job to a Friend Provide advanced technical support, direction, and solutions relating to business intelligence reporting and systems in a Business Objects environment. Development of business intelligence solutions including but not limited to: data warehouses, data marts, universes, data elements, web intelligence, and dashboard technologies. Provide primary support for business intelligence projects including the design, construction, deployment, and documentation of the data warehouse platform(s).  Essential Functions:   Coordinate and assist with the design, maintenance, and support of enterprise business intelligence systems and financial management reporting systems  Work with varying department, senior management of the firm, and other IT teams to understand, document, and propose enterprise business reporting solutions  Serve as liaison between various departments and IS, in order to analyze needs and produce specifications relating to business reportingTest the custom applications and train the end user Assist with developing project estimates based on requirements and scope  Establish and maintain data warehouses and custom tables for reporting, including reviewing the data and output for accuracy  Design new universe objects as necessary and maintain existing BO universes Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field  Minimum 2 years experience in database and reporting development work  Experience with Business Objects tools (i.e. Business Object Enterprise XI+,  Crystal Reports Developer, Universe Designer, Web Intelligence and Dashboard desirable. Will consider expanding if experience with other Business Intelligence vendors.Solid knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server including DTS and SSISMust be both a self-starter and a team player and have excellent communication skills.
