CAREER SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE Job Description The International Academy of Design and Technology located in Chicago (Loop), IL is a post secondary baccalaureate and associate degree-granting college dedicated to providing academic excellence in Merchandising Management, Visual Communications, Information Technology, Fashion Design, and Interior Design. We are seeking a career counselor for the following position:CAREER SERVICES REPRESENTATIVEResponsibilities: Provide appropriate, program and skill based job opportunities to students, graduates and alumni. Assist in managing and conducting graduate employment verifications. Assist students and graduates in interviewing skills and the development of a resume, cover letter, and thank you note. Achieve and maintain individual placement goals as it relates to graduates. Solicit job orders from community employers. Assist with increasing and updating our employer database, coordinating job fairs and special events, and coordination of on campus interviews. Teach/speak in classes and orientations regarding career services and job search related topics. Participate in Orientation, Graduation, Career Fairs, Information Sessions, class visits, etc.Requirements: Bachelor's degree Experience in providing counseling services and/or academic advisement within a university environment a plus 1-2 years of Recruiting Agency and/or Placement experience Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and coordinate activities and projects. Ability to conduct research on latest job search trends, local resume posting sites, and salary surveys Excellent interpersonal, presentation, customer service, organizational, verbal and written communications skills.
