DeVry University seeks a Corporate Development Specialist for the Jacksonville, Florida region.

The primary responsibility of this position is to consistently generate prospective leads from qualified candidates seeking to learn about the features and benefits of a DeVry University education by establishing and building relationships with regional businesses and corporate contacts through meetings and planned events. This position will also assist in marketing our training programs.

Essential responsibilities of this position will include:

1. Secures prospective student leads by seeking and identifying regional corporations and businesses and by attending education fairs and conducting workshops.

2. Participates in civic affairs and business organizations to help establish and build productive relationships with local industry leaders.

3. Attends career fairs, trade shows and conferences for purpose of establishing lead generation to present information about DeVry’s educational and business training products.

4. Identifies corporate educational needs and pursues sales opportunities through detailed understanding and analysis of their business strategy and succession planning as related to educational requriements.

5. Produces weekly activity reports for National CDS Program Manager and direct supervisor; submits leads/event profiles to corporate leadership on a timely basis.

6. Develops comprehensive knowledge of DeVry’s graduate and undergraduate curriculum and general knowledge of training programs.

7. Partners with the National Corporate Development Program Manager and Central Florida Metro leadership to coordinate and participate in marketing and outreach initiatives.

Qualifications for this position include:

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; advance degree desirable

-A proven track record of successful sales with a minimum of 3 full years of direct sales experience (preferable in education sales or B-2-B)

-Exceptionally strong negotiation skills with a strong work ethic

-A well-developed capacity to manage time effectively and to produce results with little direct supervision

-A record of quantifiable successful results in a relevant position requiring marketing, sales, and leadership capabilities

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-Impeccable integrity and solid business acumen

-Fully proficient in the use of personal computers and MS Office Suite.
