Tutors Needed For After School Los Angeles



Total Education Solutions (TES) is the leading national provider of outsourced special education compliance and staffing solutions to public education agencies. TES currently provides compliance and staffing solutions to over 200 public and charter school sites, representing 70 school districts and 35 Special Education Governing Entities.

We are currently looking for Part-Time Tutors to provide Math, Reading and Language Development.   Tutoring can be provided afterschool hours Monday through Friday or on weekends pending tutor and familly arranged schedules.

JOB DESCRIPTION: SES SPECIALIST / TUTOR

LEADS: Provides one-to-one tutoring for students. The specialist is responsible for implementing a tutoring schedule, coordinating the time and place of tutoring and working with the student in either math or Readin or Language Development .

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Tutoring individual and/or small groups.
Tutoring in math, reading or language development
Assess student before initiating services
Assess student at the last session
Track student progress
Create Student Learning Plan.
Responsible for collaborating with the student’s parent, teacher, and other allied specialists.
Required to maintain daily logs of client’s progress.
Required to travel to and from the client’s school and/or home.

Commitment

This position is for a period of no less than four (4) months). Please note this position is funded by the school district. Billable hours are not available on holidays, winter/spring break, and five weeks during summer – unless otherwise indicated by the program manager.

Requirements
Applicants must have completed a minimum of 72 units of college coursework, or an Associate Degree.

A Valid California drivers license, automobile insurance and ability to drive to various sites to provide services a must

A valid TB test in the past 3 years and we will provide a live scan form for your DOJ and FBI clearance.

Please make sure to have your OFFICIAL SCHOOL TRANSCRIPTS ready by time of your interview. These official transcripts must indicate that you have a minimum of an AA Degree or 72 units completed toward your advanced degree Requirements
