WORCESTER POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTEJOB OPPORTUNITYCampaign Associate to the PresidentDepartment: President's OfficeReports To: PresidentClosing Date: Open Until FilledBasic FunctionAssist the President with the cultivation of donor prospects identified for direct handling by the President’s Office.Principal Duties & Responsibilities-Support the President in approaching donors for major commitments to WPI.  This encompasses all steps in the cultivation and stewardship process including setting up visits for the President.-In coordination with vice president of advancement’s office, arrange president’s contacts and support in identifying and contacting prospective donors.  Assist with planning and implementation of special events for the President.-Organize campus visits for prospective donors as part of the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship process.-Coordinate with Chief of Staff to coordinate President’s calendar as it relates to campaign related scheduling-Collaborate with the President on developing strategies for securing new gift funding.-Assist in preparation of pre and post donor visit materials.-Some travel may be required-Others duties as assignedRequirements-Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred with a minimum of five years of experience working with a president or senior level person in a college/university environment is strongly preferred.-Superior computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software are needed.-Articulate, cordial, and professional manner is expected.
