Career Services Representative Job Description Sanford-Brown Institute in Garden City, NY, is currently seeking an experienced professional for the following opportunity:Career Services RepresentativeResponsibilities: Assist recent graduates, alumni and current students in career placement in accordance with all school and company policies and procedures, all applicable federal, state regulations and all accrediting agencies standards and requirements. Conduct seminars on resume creation, interviewing, and job search skills. Help coordinate and participate in job fairs, or other student activities and events. Research and analyze employment trends at the local and national level. Establish and maintain relationships with potential employers to obtain job listings. Assist in support of career fairs on campus. Maintain placement information and student files placement in accordance with all school and company policies and procedures, all applicable federal, state regulations and all accrediting agencies standards and requirements. Verify students' employment and/or waivers. Accumulate information for employment statistics. Develop and maintain a current job list for graduating students and alumni. To achieve and maintain individual placement goals, as well as team goals. Interview students and graduates to assist in strategizing for their professional job search. Track job orders until they are filled.Requirements: Bachelor's degree preferred. 1-3 years of sales or recruiting experience preferred. Ability to review and revise resumes efficiently. High comfort level of presentation in a classroom setting. Heavy phone use. Thorough understanding of the career planning and professional development process. Excellent interpersonal, customer service, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to effectively manage projects. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Power Point.
