Chief Assistant

We are seeking an energetic and organized individual who loves children to assist our Instructor in running our company-owned model center in Plymouth, MN. The Plymouth Kumon company center operates as a math and reading center which supports the operations of Kumon North America as: a training center for new staff and franchisees a test center for new products and instructional strategies our after school Math and Reading program to children from the ages of ~ 4-17. The Chief Assistant is responsible for assisting the Kumon Instructor in the overall running of the center (student instruction, lesson planning, parent communication, tuition collection, the training of our employees by providing a model center in which they can work/learn, etc.) The Chief Assistant will be fully trained in the Kumon program, before assuming their full-time duties. A math and reading test will be given (before hire) to determine if the successful candidate can complete the training period in the allotted 10 month period. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree Teaching experience Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with adults and children Strong computer skills Strong MATH and Reading aptitude Excellent written and public speaking skills Commitment to making a difference in the community and belief in the importance of  education Ability to work afternoons/early evenings.
