Child Care Site Director - YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles

General Function:                   Under the supervision of the Senior Program Director, the Childcare Site Director is responsible for maintaining established retention rate and enrollment numbers.  Maintain productivity ratio, be responsible for monitoring budgeted numbers, staff scheduling, and provide direction and guidance to staff.  Overall supervision and management of an after school program of 50-80 kids (k-5th grade), staff and child supervision, planning and implementing curriculum.         

 

Qualifications:                        The Childcare Site Director must have 24 units in ECE must include core classes, 3 units in Administration, and 4 years experience working with children.  Must possess excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communications skills, be well-organized, be proactive and positive, hold strong character values, and pay close attention to detail.  Must have demonstrated leadership abilities along with the capacity to problem-solve and communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals. Prior supervisory experience required.  Ability to speak Spanish a plus!



 

Training:                                 Must complete CPR and First Aid certification, NEOP, and Child Abuse Prevention training within 60 days of hire.
