The Computer Based Publication Specialist, a technically skilled project manager, is responsible for a variety of test publishing duties for online exam building, process management, customer expectations management for multiple concurrent projects to service Pearson VUE's Professional, Medical, and IT clients. 30% Project Management- Coordinate the design and publishing of multiple online exams and supporting functions for multiple clients- Work with others in the Testing Services department and across the organization to provide a high standard of quality for all materials produced- Attend/lead project meetings as a representative for the needs of the client and of test publishing on company-wide initiatives- Establish and track project schedules with clients and other departments25% Build/Publish/Support Online Exams- Build online exams and supporting functions according to customer specifications using proprietary software tools based on XML coding- Ensure that the online exam output match the test specification with regard to performance and the accuracy of scoring- As needed, provide technical support such as JAVA debugging and script writing - Trouble-shoot technical errors during building and compilation of exams- Publish exams to Pearson VUE systems and ensure correct functionality30% Client Management- Build strong working relationships with clients to help foster a partnership environment- Set and manage client expectations- Educate clients on computer-based testing and exam functionality options- Work with clients and across company departments to create innovative testing solutions for both clients and candidates- Proactively communicate with external and internal customers in a timely fashion.10% Documentation Management- Document discrepancies between exam performance and specifications- Document processes, procedures, and instructions for clients- File and maintain original and final project documents, materials, and artwork5% Other duties as assigned - Bachelor degree in Business, Training & Development, or Technology related area- Minimum of 2-5 years experience in a computer-based assessment, education or training technology industry preferred- Minimum of 2-5 years project management experience including full cycle project management with proven ability to manage multiple projects at once to completion- Minimum of 2-5 years customer management experience including accountability for internal and external customer relationships- Proven ability to quickly learn new technical applications- XML, HTML, Java or other scripting languages experience preferred- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (especially Word), Microsoft Windows 2000 & XP
