Congressional Affairs Coordinator

Summary: The Congressional Affairs Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships on Capitol Hill that will ensure exceptional student experiences and ensure that the Congressional Youth Leadership Council brand is a recognized and respected program on Capitol Hill. Description: -  Create opportunities on Capitol Hill for Congressional Youth Leadership Council students to experience a representative democracy first hand by arranging congressional appointments for students attending the National Young Leaders Conference. -  Develop and manage the Congressional Youth Leadership Council relationships with current and former members of Congress, congressional office staff, and Capitol Police to build a positive reputation for Congressional Youth Leadership Council. -  Communicate with Capitol Hill contacts to secure the floor of the house and recruit members and former members of Congress to speak for the National Young Leaders Conference -  Ensure that Congressional Youth Leadership Council is recognized as a premier leadership program. -  Manage Congressional student data for National Young Leaders Conference. -  Produce congressional field materials. -  Educate Envision staff on issues related to Capitol Hill. -  Track materials and resources for Congressional Relations. -  Develop outreach strategies to further involve members and former members in Congressional Youth Leadership Council.   Requirements:-  BA/BS Required -  Experience working in Congress -  Knowledge of Capitol Hill and Congress
