 POSITION:  Temporary Credential Advisor (2538)

RANGE MINIMUM: $28,662

 

 

PRIMARY

RESPONSIBILITIES: To provide information to students as to National University and California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) requirements in order to obtain a California teaching credential.  This person acts as resource expert concerning regulations and guidelines of National University and the CCTC for students, faculty and staff.  Conduct seminars for both incoming and outgoing candidates; provide information on all aspects of the credentialing process; maintain communication with students, faculty, agencies, other institutions, and academic departments regarding credential matters.  Work with students, faculty, and staff to solve complex problems.  Attend to administrative and clerical details utilizing initiative, problem analysis techniques, good judgment and confidentiality.

 

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of work experience required. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  One year customer service is required. One year office experience is required. Education work with credential experience is preferred. Must be computer literate. Must have effective communication and problem solving skills. Possess excellent time management skills.  Possess excellent human relations skills.  Possess the ability to provide service in a courteous, prompt and efficient manner. Possess the ability to develop and use empathetic listening skills, communicate with clarity and maintain an attitude that conveys respect, assistance, honesty and resourcefulness.  Must have the ability to work independently, be able to multitask and be flexible and receptive to change.  Dependability is required to ensure excellent student service. Must be able to speak to large groups.
