CEC was recently named the #4 Fastest Growing Company according to Fortune magazine.Our prestigious Katharine Gibbs School located in New York, NY is seeking an experienced academic professional for the following opportunity:DEAN OF STUDENTSAs chief student services officer, this position is responsible for ensuring the delivery of services to students in order to support their academic studies.Responsible for assisting and supporting the V.P. of Academic Affairs/DOE in maintaining an Education Department that is focused on assisting all students through the delivery of both academic and non academic services and outside of the classroom activities.Responsibilities: Organize and implement plans to increase retention of students. Coordinate retention efforts with all departments of the school Identify at risk students and be proactive in resolving problems for at risk students. Organize and implement plans for re-enters on an ongoing basis. Interact with students on an individual basis and advise them as necessary. Address problems as they arise with students and parents Assist with the planning and implementation of student events. Assist in the review, tracking, monitoring, and follow up with students with SAP issues. Communicate regularly with Education staff on retention-related issues. Generate and retain all records as necessary. Give overview of retention programs and services to new students at orientation. Maintain adherence to all school policies and procedures.Requirements: Master's Degree in Student Personnel and Guidance or related field required Minimum of 3years of prior students services experience in a post secondary environment Excellent customer service skills. High computer and internet proficiency. Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently in both group and one-on-one situations. High degree of professionalism. Detail-oriented.
